Management of oral and facial trauma

Facial injuries are common, extending from relatively minor - but distressing injuries to the teeth, to major facial fractures involving the lower jaw (mandible), upper jaw (maxilla), cheek bones (zygoma) and eye sockets. Such injuries are most commonly initially treated in the Accident and Emergency Departments. The subsequent choice of surgical care and follow up may be offered privately.

Medico-legal reports on oral and maxillofacial trauma may be provided on legal instruction from solicitors to serve the court if requested.
